NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING

Remote Field Electromagnetic Testing (RFET)

Remote Field Electromagnetic Testing (RFET) is a non-destructive testing method used to detect corrosion, pitting, and other defects in ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic tubing. The technique involves sending an electromagnetic field through the tube wall using an exciter coil, and then measuring the received signal with a detector coil placed at a certain distance from the exciter. The key advantage of RFET is its ability to inspect the entire wall thickness of the tube, including areas inaccessible by other methods. It is highly effective in identifying internal and external flaws, making it widely used in industries such as power generation, petrochemical, and refineries to ensure the integrity and safety of heat exchangers, boilers, and other tubular structures.
